Yes, routine maintenance and upkeep can help extend the life of your Subaru. Not only will performing regular maintenance help keep you safe but it will also help protect your car's value.

Subaru recommends 0W-20 Synthetic Oil on all newer makes.

Looking through your owner’s manual is a good start, this can give an accurate time frame and show you step by step how to check your Subaru’s dipstick.

It’s recommended to change your oil at least every 7,500 miles.

  • Make sure the oil is warm, too hot is dangerous & too cold is inaccurate
  • Ensure your Subaru is parked and on level ground
  • Review your Subaru’s Owner Manual for proper procedure & oil location
  • Once dipstick is found, remove & wipe down
  • Reinsert to get an accurate reading

Check the pressure of all tires, including your spare, at least once a month when the tires are "cold," meaning that the vehicle hasn't been driven for at least three hours.
